Help the Hurricane Victims Today

This is a time of incredible need here at home.  So many times we have been there to support others around the world during disasters, wars and other times when trouble was great and help was small.  Now here at home on our own land we are faced with the worst natural disaster we have ever seen here in America. 

Tens of thousands are still stranded.  Hundreds of thousands are homeless, hungry, grieving and in desperate need.  It is a time for all of us to be thankful for what we have and to share with those who are not as fortunate.  Please consider giving to the Red Cross effort to help the victims of Hurricane Katrina.

Additionally, Moveon.org is sponsoring an emergency national housing drive to connect your empty beds with hurricane victims who desperately need a place to wait out the storm. You can post your offer of housing (a spare room, extra bed, even a decent couch) and search for available housing online at:
