Negative Ads
Politics on TV is all about negative ads. What is too negative, when can you go negative, what can you say negative, what can be twisted into negative. And for those of you who think making negative ads is just about pointing out people’s faults I have posted something sent to me in an email. It originated in that wonderfully childish magazine every boy loved as a pre-teen, Mad Magazine.

My point in showing this is not religious, but if that is your interest see this piece by Wayne Dunn. My point is that someone who nearly all people of all faiths would agree lead an exemplary life of kindness, charity, concern for others and selflessness can be stung by a negative ad. In your mind imagine the slow speaking, gravely serious voice, the fuzzy black and white pictures of Jesus looking tired and out of sorts accompanied by the background music that sets the sinister tone. Of course this year this "comparative piece" ad would be followed by ads from the Texas 527 group "Disciples of Jesus for Truth" denying that Jesus was really crucified and that his place as the son of God is overstated.
The fortunate thing is that many Americans have the good sense to see through garbage, ask questions, do the research and seek the truth. I wish they all did.
